1Data controller
JYMI is published by Nivaud Julien, a sole proprietor (entrepreneur individuel under French law), whose details appear above. For any question about your personal data, you can write to the contact address listed.
2Data we collect
JYMI only collects the data needed for the app to function:
| Category | Detail |
|---|---|
| Account | Email address, name, login identifier (via Firebase Auth, Google, or Sign in with Apple depending on the method chosen) |
| Training | Sessions created, exercises, tempo, sets, loads, reps, history, and session statistics |
| Planning | Planned sessions, recurrences, personal goals |
| Readiness & well-being | Self-reported answers to the readiness questionnaire (sleep, physical state, mental state) and tap test results (number of taps per hand). This data is self-reported or measured locally, for informational purposes only. |
| Usage | App preferences (units, favorite/recent exercises, tutorial completion) |
| Technical | Device technical identifier for notifications, anonymized error logs |
JYMI does not directly collect any payment data: transactions, where they exist, are handled exclusively by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store).
3Purposes of processing
- Provide the service's features (creating and tracking sessions, planner, statistics)
- Calculate daily readiness indicators from readiness check-ins and the tap test
- Personalize the experience (favorites, history, suggestions)
- Secure your account and prevent fraud
- Send notifications related to using the service (planned session reminders, end of rest)
- Improve the app based on aggregated usage statistics
4Legal basis
Processing is based on the performance of the contract between you and JYMI once you create an account (GDPR Article 6.1.b), and on your explicit consent for readiness and tap test data, which are wellness data you freely choose to provide and can stop sharing at any time.
5Recipients and processors
Your data is hosted and processed by the following processors, strictly within the scope of providing the service:
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud — authentication, database (Firestore), server functions, notifications
- Apple Inc. and Google LLC — app distribution and, where applicable, payment processing through their respective app stores
No data is sold, rented, or shared for advertising purposes.
6Transfers outside the European Union
Some processors (notably Google) may process data outside the European Union. These transfers are governed by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an equivalent adequacy mechanism, guaranteeing a level of protection comparable to the GDPR.
7Retention period
Your data is kept for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account from the app, all your personal data is erased from our systems, except for data we are legally required to retain for a limited period (notably for accounting obligations).
8Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights over your data: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. You can exercise these rights by writing to julien.nivaud@gmail.com, or directly delete your account and data from the app's settings.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL) —www.cnil.fr.
9Security
Your data is protected by Firebase's standard security mechanisms (encryption in transit and at rest, strict access rules limiting each user to their own data). As no system is infallible, we encourage you to choose a strong password and not share it.
10Minors
JYMI is reserved for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data about anyone under that age.
11Changes
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the app or to applicable regulations. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page. Any material change will be flagged to you within the app.
